RANDOM DELIRIUM: Mafia Style Shipping / MTA Strike / Schneur’s Strike / Gav ticketed for Speeding
* “Why does everybody makes so much fun of me, don’t they know that it hurts me so?” This is the most famous song from the “Marvelous Middos Machine”, it describes a lonely kid who couldn’t understand why nobody wanted him around. This morning Schneur came to Zal at 7:30am to prepare for teaching his class, and until 8:50am no one showed up. Schneur got really angry and stormed out of Zal, claiming that “If this happens one more time, I am quitting!”. He is sick and tired of people not interested in what he has to teach...
* Hudy Slater was presumed to be Yeshiva’s Van Driver up until this morning when Hudy read the news that the MTA workers in NYC rejected the contract and may go into another transit strike. Then it dawned him that since he isn’t really the Van Driver, he doesn’t get paid for it, he shouldn’t be driving and instead opted to give the keys to Sholom Ber and walk back. Thus, Yeshiva’s MTA went on strike. When Nigleh came around, Rabbi Berger who has better negotiating skills than Touissant, managed to get Hudy to drive again. Everyone was happy once again.
* During Shacharis, Gav decided that he should speed and didn’t let anyone answer his Chazaras HaShatz. This caused a quick repercussion in the form of a chair flying into him. When this didn’t work, Sholom Ber announced that since everyone is in a rush, Nigleh will start at 11:00am, for the first time since the beginning of the year. To everyone’s surprise Gav didn’t budge and opted to ruin the breakfast brake for everyone... Nigleh started at 11:05am this morning with Gav sitting first in his class...
* On the way to Nigleh, Sholom Ber took his car to Zal, and since the car was full, Rafi Morgenstien decided to ride in the trunk. The ride was pleasant for everyone in the car, and he made it safely to Zal. Considering this is a first, Yeshiva has decided to implement this into its plans. When Yeshiva will purchase a car, it will have a big trunk which could fit some extra bodies... Maybe a Cadillac? “Its got Power... Its got Power” (Al Pacino in Donny Brasco)
* Yosl Cylich has spent his last day in Ottawa in Zal, as opposed to all the other days... Good trip back home.
