RANDOM DELIRIUM: Jan. 25 & Jan. 26

Yesterday:
* Right before Mincha, Rabbi Berger started knocking on the Shtender trying to get everyone’s attention to be able to start Mincha. When this happened Yankele Lefton turned to Rabbi Berger and asked: “Who is it?”. Rabbi Berger replied: “Do I ALWAYS have to hear your stupid comments”.

* The carpet in the Young Israel Basement was removed, after it managed to stink and grow mold, after an “anonymous” person flooded the toilets on Shabbos.

Last night
* A full conversation took place between Sholom Ber & Yankee Kopfstien while the latter was still giving “silent treatment” to Sholom Ber, the conversation took place with Yankele Lefton being the “translator”. During this “conversation” Yankee explained that the reason why he was giving “silent treatment” to Sholom Ber is because “he doesn’t want to erase some music from my Ipod”...

* Yankele Lefton, Benny Hershcovich and some other unknown Bochurim decided to be nice to Lorrena and keep up Gershon’s custom from last year of peeling a box of potatoes every Wednesday night for Shabbos. They peeled potatoes and made a total mess, which Yankee Kopfstien, the new Kitchen Manager had to clean up. A half-hour later Levi Adelman notifies Yankee that the storage room was left open. Yankee immediately dashed downstairs to close it. If he wouldn’t, it would be the last time he would have any Kitchen managing privileges. [It was his first day with the keys, and it would suck to lose them...]. Yankee would like to publicly thank Levi for saving him from a near-death experience in the hands of Lorrena.

Today:

* The Mikve has been freezing cold since the beginning of the week, when the heater broke, the water got colder and colder by the day. The only solution is to fix the heater, but it is very expensive. So Meir Lieblich went over to Mrs. Botnick and came up with a great idea: Drain the Mikve from the water, then add hot water to fill the Mikve, and then try to jumpstart the heater [Meir has previous experience in jumpstarting from his old carjacking days]. After the Mikve was drained, Meir jumped in “Do Da Mikky Dip”, we present you here with some pictures. Everyone is happy, because it will be the first time in a long time that the Mikve’s waters will be replaced...

* Yossi Morgenstien’s mother came to visit Yeshiva and see how her son is doing, she brought along Yossi’s baby brother, a really cute kid, hopefully he will grow to be (at least) like his brother (if not better).

* Shmuli Lazaroff went into NY for some friend’s wedding; he left this morning with the 6:50am train. Hudy drove him.
