This afternoon Seder Nigleh ended at 1:30pm to make time for Rabbi Berger's speech. Rabbi Berger went up to the podium and started speaking about the booklet called "Reward & Punishment" which was written by Sholom Ber. Rabbi Berger then proceeded to ordering Sruli to give out the booklets. Vince piped up and said: "Rabbi, When do we get tested on this?". The Rabbi answered: "I can slap you if its needed!"
Rabbi Berger then proceeded to reading the booklet, leaughing away at Sholom Ber's spelling mistakes.
When Rabbi Berger got to the "Torah & Mitzvos" section the Rabbi "lost his cool". He started speaking about the Bochur who was kicked out for having Treife foods in the dorm. "I love him and all, but he does not belong here". He then continued to speak about Poker and recommended anyone who has a gambling problem to seek urgent rehab. Next on line was Chillul Shabbos Rabbi Berger was fuming about the Bochurim who do not keep Shabbos: "It is a matter of trust between a Bochur & The Hanholo, we expect a certain level of respect, even if you don't believe in anything. Someone who can't respect these rules, DOESN'T BELONG IN THIS YESHIVA".
He then proceeded to the "Mentschlichkeit" section and bashed those Bochurim who speak like the slum of the earth, in Nivul Peh, those who speak "like people who don't know who their father is, or don't have a father, or grew up on the streets, even regular Goyim don't speak like that!".
