Mikve Madness

We all remember those old good days last year, when we learnt in “Mister Muffler”, when the White Car OBM would take 11 people to the Mikve, including Big Hitters like Yossel, Sholom Ber, Yankele Lefton & Tiffy. That was the Real אמת'ע Messirus Nefesh. Then Yeshiva moved to “Young Israel” which is next door to the Mikve. At that moment less people went to Mikve and the Mikve Craze was going down.

This year started with the “Lech Lecha” Trip, which demanded of each Bochur to go to Mikve once a week, this caused a rise in the Mikve Dipping, including people like Yankee Kopfstien & Simcha Bloom. Then the trip ended, and with it ended the “Mikve Era”.

Recently though, as a direct result of the Clandestine Farbrengens in Schneur’s House every Friday Night, a bigger group of Bochurim started going to Mikve every day, some go for a few minutes and some go for a few hours to “Chill in the Mikve”. Today, Meir went there to sleep...

On Shabbos day, Simcha Bloom was dipping calmly in the Mikve, enjoying the Haisse Mikve, “Keeloy Rochniyos”, when suddenly Avi Mogilevsky, one of the “Mikve Stars” decided to make it interesting for him. He went and filled up a Kvort full of Freezing Water and secretly poured it on Simcha’s head, causing him to scream in pain. Simcha then needed some more time to “Chill in the Mikve” (a.k.a Warm up his freezing body parts) before being able to return to Zal all angry and pissed off.

Two days later, Avi was punished for his nasty behavior. On Monday morning (the coldest day of the winter), while Avi was dipping in the Mikve Gav & Yankele decided to teach him a lesson in cold weather and they stole his shoes, boxers and pants and hid them around the Mikve building. Then they left to Zal. A few minutes later Avi climbs out of the Mikve and to his utter dismay and shock he cannot find his clothing! Looking high and low for it he finally found one shoe upstairs one shoe downstairs, his boxers in the bathroom closet and his pants in the towel closet... He showed up in Zal half-hour after he climbed out of the pit...
