Gav released from Jail on $105 Fine

As you all know, Gav was busted in the airport transporting a live bullet, ammunition in his handnag onto the plane. When the security supervisor saw the bullet he immediately called his supervisor and together they decided that Gav should be put behind bars (not a bad idea, when I come to think about it), but this should be done only after a court-case.

The court case was scheduled for Jan. 3rd 2006, the first working day of the New Year. Our sources said that the chances of Gav being acquitted are slim, but he should try anyways.

The trial day came, Gav went to court all sober in honor of the occasion, without a lawyer, and hoping for the best. The judge was the one who was still in a merry new-year's mood decided that he is not interested in Gav and his bullet and let him off the hook with a fine of $105.

Gav paid the fine and left the courtroom, broke. As a result, Gav has to wait for money to come in before being able to return to Yeshiva for the new Zman.

We wish him luck in arranging money, especially after his father took away the Credit Card 'cause Gav maxed it out in the Casino & Bar in Manhattan.
