Everyone knows that a rental car in a Yeshiva means trouble, especially in our Yeshiva. We had Gersh falling asleep on the wheel and wrecking a "Sebring", Sholom Ber wrecking the white "Montana", etc.

Scene One:
Since we are nearing Zvi's wedding, plans were made by different people to rent different vehicles from different places to go to one place, Morristown, where Zvi's wedding will take place.

One of these was Benny Hershcovich, for a long time he has been planning on renting a minivan to go to NJ for the wedding, all plans were made, reservations were made, and a minivan has been assigned to Benny. He would rent from Thrifty in Montreal, the dude is a friend of "The Family".

Benny made his plans, he would go into Montreal on Wednesday night on a bus, rent the car on Thursday morning, return to Ottawa to pick-up the Bochurim and hit the road.

Tonight, Sholom Ber drove Benny to the bus station (in record-breaking speed - see here). As he took the curve, Sholom Ber's cellphone rang and on the phone was Mrs. Hershcovich with a message "Tell BenZion to call me URGENTLY to my cellphone!". Those who heard were a little freaked, what could happen now?

After the few seconds of suspense the picture cleared, Benny's Mommy just found out that since Benny has a probationary license (whatever that means in french), he could not rent a car. Benny took it with a calm and hurried to the bus to run away from the problem at his hands.

Upon returning to the dorm, Mendy Ajzsenszmidt broke the sad news to the crowd: "We don't have a car". Vince heard this and right away sprung into action, arranging for Berel Zaklikovsky to rent the car from Montreal and return with it to Ottawa. A plan was presented and Vince rested in peace.

The plan was that Dovi Small will drive Berel & Vince to Montreal with HIS rental (see later) and return immediately. Problems occured as Gershon wanted to join, and then backed up at the last minute 'cause "If there is no chocolate cake in Montreal, I am not going!". Mrs. Hershcovich refused to give in to the terrorist demands of Gershon, and Gershon backed out. The car then left to Montreal with it's precious cargo. We wish them success.

Scene 2:
The beginning of this week a blue Dodge Magnum was spotted roaming around the dorm. The nosy Bochurim of the likes of Chaim Hertzl and Meir Lieblich decided to investigate. Upon further investigation is was determined that Dovi has rented the car for commodity purposes, since he anyways has to move around and he also is going in to Zvi's wedding, why not rent a car for a week and enjoy it...

We speculate this is the correct reason, for Dovi is known for his lack of interest of driving used white cars, as the one that was recently acquired by Yeshiva, therefore he rented a car.

Scene 3 - Futuristic:
* Sholom Ber is renting a Dodge Magnum on Motzoei Shabbos to go to NY for Zvi's wedding.

* Mendy Kaye is renting a eight-seater propellor plane to go on Motzoei Shabbos to Morristown regional airport for Zvi's wedding. Rabbi Berger demanded that every Bochur who is interested in this shall call his parents to request their permission.
